  • Welcome to my blog

My name is Tony Fanning and I am a husband, a father, a chocaholic and a professional photographer based in Colwyn Bay in beautiful North Wales.
I specialise in award winning contemporary wedding photography and portraiture. Having recently been shortlisted for Wales wedding photographer of the year, and winning 2011 wedding photographer of the year for North Wales.
I hold the Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) certificate so I can work with children and you can use my services with confidence. It`s always best to use a photographer with this certificate for your own peace of mind.

I hope you enjoy my work as much as I do.

North Wales portrait photographer- Rhys`s first session

I had the pleasure of photographing Rhys`s first ever photo shoot the other day. He is only seven months old and I think he was a little overwhelmed by it all.

Seeing a big strange looking man (me!) making funny noises and pulling faces trying to get the little man to smile and relax is enough to freak anyone out.

To be fair he was a little star but his expression was one of steely determination instead of smiley joy. Oh! He is also cutting his first teeth too so I think he did remarkably well to put up with me.

Here are a couple of images from Rhys`s first portrait session. I hope you like them.

Enjoy.X

Ruthin Castle wedding photographer- Linnett and Andrew’s wedding

First wedding of the year yesterday (yes, a Sunday!) and we couldn`t have asked for a more beautiful bride or handsome groom.

Linnett and Andrew are both members of our wonderful armed forces and it was such a pleasure to photograph their beautiful wedding for them.

The wedding ceremony itself was held in St. Peters church in the centre of Ruthin and the reception and partying was just a very short drive over to Ruthin Castle.

We were lucky enough to enjoy a dry day, if not a little chilly (as a couple of the images below will testify).

Here are a few images from Linnett and Andrew`s wedding in Ruthin Castle. I hope you like them.

If you do, please feel free to leave a little comment at the end of this post.

Enjoy. X

Combermere Abbey wedding photographer- Congratulations to…

… Linda and Michael from Altrincham.

They are getting married this December in the fabulous Combermere Abbey near Whitchurch, Shropshire.

Another new venue for me which is super exciting. It`ll be Christmas too, so everywhere will look awesome.

Very much looking forward to this very special occasion (as I do every wedding:)  ).
