I had a lovely snowy wedding this weekend in Colwyn Bay. A great Polish couple, Joanna and Bart who live just around the corner from where I live.
As usual we started off in the brides house, but as it was a polish wedding they had their own traditions.
After getting ready, the groom meets the bride in the house where they are both blessed by their parents. They then travel to the church together.
Once at the church, St Josephs Catholic church in Colwyn Bay they walked down the aisle together with the son holding the ring cushion. The ceremony was entirely in Polish so I had no idea of what was being said but it is a celebration of two people`s love so you don`t need a translation.
After the ceremony they had the traditional confetti throwing but as is tradition in Poland, rice and change (money) is thrown with the bride and groom having to pick up all the money before they can leave.
After that it was off to the Ffarm Country House in Betws yn Rhos via a very chilly mountainside for a few windswept pictures.

They are greeted at the venue with Champagne and bread and salt, another polish tradition.
