As this blog is new I thought I`d share my first job with you.

All the way back in 2006 I had my first commisioned shoot. It was to photograph the girls and boys of Pearl Shaw dance school in Colwyn Bay. Up to this point I was still shooting for fun and for friends.

Back then I was shooting with a Canon 300D (woo!) and the bare minimum of equipment. How things have changed.

The shoot was a great sucess and we got some really good, well posed shots. Caroline, the owner and instructor there made sure the students were doing the things they should be doing . It all looked like such hard work being a dancer and I admire the dedication and persistance the students need to get it right.

I had the great fortune to shoot Nichola a little while ago in Conwy. She wanted to build a portfolio and to have some pics to make her feel great about herself.

The shoot was awesome with various costume changes (by her, not me ) and different locations in Conwy.

Here is one shot I particularly liked from the shoot.

Shot on llandudno`s West Shore, Jen, Matthew and myself made good use of the lovely evening weather at the beginning of June to get some engagement photos and some pre-wedding practice.

This shot, taken with the sunset and the Great Orme in the background was one of my faves from the shoot.

I don`t normally do this sort of stuff but as I was out with the boys and the dog I saw this HUGE toadstool and thought I`d take a snap or two.

It was so big my youngest son asked if he could sit on it

OK! Every day I will be adding one image from my ever growing collection to this section of the blog.

These photos could be from a wedding, portrait, maternity, baby or family shoot. I may even throw in the odd one from my family if you are lucky

This is the gorgeous Nia, she married David last year in Ruthin Castle hotel in North Wales.
