Llandudno portrait photographer- Catherine and Ella

A trip over to Llandudno for a nice portrait session with Catherine and her daughter Ella. They were staying in the Imperial Hotel and felt the urge to have some cool images of the pair of them as a surprise for Ella`s daddy.

We went outside to start off but it decided to start raining so we went to Catherine`s suite and finished off in there.

I don`t often get to photograph babies and forgot just how fast they move when they want to.

I was contacted by Greg and Emily and asked to photograph them because they were on holiday from Yorkshire they`ve been together for a whole year now. Not engaged or married, just loved up and wanted some cool images of themselves to celebrate a great year together.

A real brainy couple too. Emily is a qualified zoologist and Greg is finishing off his pharmacy degree in Nottingham. They laughed constantly and you can tell they are really into each other. They brought along Emily`s golden labrador Tara and she was as good as gold. I wish my dog behaved this well!

I was asked by Adam Black, a local singer, entertainer to take some new shots for his advertising.

We decided on a short session in the studio and here are a few of the images that I liked from the shoot.

Adam Black specializes in Michael Buble covers and his shows last around three hours. A good night out in guaranteed.

I`ve been crazy busy over the last month or so with family portrait sessions and so I`ve been a bit slack with my blogging.

To make things a bit easier for me I`ve knocked up a quick two minute musical slideshow with some of the images from the family sessions.

My lovely wife, Annie, needs a new passport so she asked me to take a quick pic in the studio.

As payment for my services I asked her to be a model (for all of five minutes) so I could try out my new lens.

She was amazed that I could make her look so amazing. She always does look great but you know women always have negative views of themselves.

Here is her new passport photo (following Home Office guidelines – Look straight at the camera, plain background, flat (ish) lighting) followed by a quick lighting and background change.

Conwy photographer- School Christmas fair photos with santa

As a member of “The friends of Ysgol Pen y Bryn” I had the opportunity to photograph all the children who wanted a photo of themselves with the actual Santa on Saturday. I donated my time and ALL the money raised will go straight to school funds.

Obviously I can`t show these photos here but as my two little cherubs are part of the school and had their photo taken I can share that.

Conwy photographer- A family portrait in Plas Maenan.

I was asked by a family friend to photograph her parents’ golden wedding anniversary celebrations in Plas Maenan down the Conwy valley.

It was to be a surprise for them so was very hush hush!

The very happy couple arrived by vintage car, and there I was- SURPRISE!

The dining room was set up with one long table for them, with candlabras and lots of other fancy stuff. It looked amazing.

Cath (the daughter) went to so much trouble to make sure everything was perfect, and to my eye it really looked amazing.

I shot Tania and Jason`s wedding last year and now they are having a baby- yay! We thought it would be a great way of celebrating this by having some time in the studio creating some awesome images for them and their bump.
