  • Welcome to my blog

My name is Tony Fanning and I am a husband, a father, a chocaholic and a professional photographer based in Colwyn Bay in beautiful North Wales.
I specialise in award winning contemporary wedding photography and portraiture. Having recently been shortlisted for Wales wedding photographer of the year, and winning 2011 wedding photographer of the year for North Wales.
I hold the Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) certificate so I can work with children and you can use my services with confidence. It`s always best to use a photographer with this certificate for your own peace of mind.

I hope you enjoy my work as much as I do.

Dyserth Falls enagagement photography- Rachel and Nic`s engagement session

Up to this week I didn`t even even know Dyserth had a waterfall! So it was nice to go there with Rachel and Nic for their pre wedding session.

I always recommend this pre wedding session to all my clients as it is incredibly useful for them and for me too. They can see me working for the first time, see the results of our tips on posture, posing etc, and I can see how they interact with each other and see if there is anything they don`t like. Are they touchy feely, giggly, shy. This all helps make the actual wedding run much smoother as I already know what worked, what didn`t and we already know each other and not just from a meeting in the studio.

Dyserth Falls was a little damp and chilly but we had a bit of a giggle, a good chat about pretty much everythingand I got to meet Nic for the first time too as he works away most of the time.

Looking forward to their wedding in Bodelwyddan Castle later this year now:)

I hope you like the images we created for them. If you do, please feel free to leave a comment at the end of this post.

Enjoy. X.

Engagement photography in North Wales- Michelle and Jason

I am photographing Michelle and Jason`s wedding later on this year so they thought it would be a great idea to get a bit of practice in front of the camera before the big day.

We met up in Prestatyn and spent an hour or so chatting about them, the wedding, and getting some rather cool images of the two of them.

Well, here are a few from Michelle and Jason`s engagement session in Prestatyn. I hope you like them.

Conwy wedding photographer- Melanie and John`s wedding

A couple of weeks ago saw me heading off to the Sychnant Pass Hotel for the wedding of Melanie and John.

I know Melanie from working with her on some cake photography projects for Party cakes magazine.

A truely intimate and emotional affair, with only a very very few guests.

The hotel is in a spectacular location in North Wales and is perfect for the smaller wedding.

Here are a few images from Melanie and John`s Conwy wedding. I hope you like them.
