Conwy wedding photographer- Joanne and Scott`s wedding

A really great day yesterday photographing Joanne and Scott`s wedding in Plas Maenan, in the Conwy valley.

It was such a fun day, with the guests just on the right side of being nuts and with a casino and a DJ in the evening, there was always something cool to do.

Joanne and Scott were happy to have their photographer suggest all kinds of things to get great images.

These guys are soooo in love and I`m sure they`ll grow old together, still as loved up as they are today.

The effort that they (well, Joanne really) put into the details of the wedding was enormous, and the place looked amazing.

North Wales wedding photographer- Katie and James wedding.

I teamed up with my good buddy, Gareth Heesom again for a trip over to Nantglyn, near Denbigh to photograph Katie and James wedding.

I started the day at katies parents house, Plas Nantglyn for the bridal preparations and Gareth was with the guys.

The ceremony was held in the lovely St. Dyfnog church in Llanrhaeadr and then we all headed back to Plas Nantglyn for the wedding breakfast and evening reception.

The rain cut short our outside photographs but the party went on inside the marquee. This was supplied and staffed by Brookhouse Mill. Karen, the boss is a consumate professional and her staff were a credit to her. The place looked amazing.

Even though it was very dark and rainy, Katie and James put up a brolly and we went out to get a few cool images that I wanted to try out with them. The results are below along with a selection of images from throughout the day.

Plas Maenan wedding photographer- Melody and Chris

A rare treat as I had to photograph Melody and Chris`s wedding on a Thursday at Plas Maenan Country House, in the Conwy Valley.

The weather has been awful lately and the morning of the wedding was looking black as hell. But true to form, North Wales weather is unpredictable at best and it stayed dry for the short time I was there, hopefully for the rest of the day for them too.

Less than three hours to get all the images we needed, including the ceremony! Running around a bit more than normal, but it was worth it. Melody just had the biggest smile on her face constantly and was a joy to work with, oh! so was Chris too

Bodelwydden Castle and Northop Hall wedding with Jenny and Huw

I posted Jenny and Huw`s wedding images a few weeks ago but thought I`d share their entire wedding slideshow with you.

It is about half of their images they were presented with set to music including their first dance.

It is around 19 minutes long but it gives you a real insight into the quality and diversity of the images we produce at Tony Fanning photography.

Conwy wedding photographer- Liz and Nicks wedding at Caer Rhun Hall

I had the pleasure of photographing Liz and Nicks wedding this weekend at the magnificent Caer Rhun hall in the Conwy valley.

Unbelievably it was another hot sunny day in North Wales without a cloud in the sky.

The whole of the wedding party were a load of fun. They took along footballs and hoolahoops and frisbees for everyone to play with outside. There was a huge chocolate fountain to enjoy too.

It was a lovely day and the happy couple were perfect hosts.

Again, I was assisted by my good buddy Gareth Heesom who photographs, fetches, carries, adjusts the bride and grooms clothes and generally makes me look good.

The only dark cloud over this day was when one of my Canon 5D cameras decided to self destruct during one of the quieter moments of the day. The mirror inside the body detached and when I took off the lens to investigate it fell out and smashed on the stone floor. This is exactly the reason I use at least two cameras when I`m working. Gareth let me use one of his spares so I could still have two with me. Cheers man, you’re a star.

Conwy wedding photographer- Auggie and Gordons wedding

I had the pleasure of photographing August (Auggie) and Gordons wedding this weekend.

A really classy affair, both are professionals from The City, but despite that, they are the nicest people ever.

I started off with Gordon at his parents house in Rhos on sea, where they were watching a Youtube video showing how to do up their crevats. Then off the the Quay hotel in Deganwy to catch Auggie and her family who had travelled over from the USA.

The wedding took place in Llandrillo parish church in Rhos on Sea, and what a cool little church it is too. Very light inside which makes a nice change. Then over to Plas Maenan for the wedding breakfast and evening celebrations.

It was sooooooo hot and sunny (we are not used to it here in North Wales) so we were looking for nice shady spots for the photos. Plas Maenan has some lovely wooded grounds so we made the best use of them.

Auggie was a competative ballroom dancer so has trained Gordon for their first dance and I have to say they were terrific, even putting a lift into the routine.

Thanks for a great day guys, you were awesome. have a great honeymoon and I`ll see you when you get back.

A big thank you too to Gareth Heesom, my fellow photographer, assistant, and mobile lightstand who was my right hand man on the shoot. You were a star, see you in a couple of weeks for the next one.

North Wales wedding photographer- Sian and James wedding at Portmerion

I travelled all the way down the Llyn peninsula to shoot Sian and James wedding.

Starting the day at the brides` family home in Rhiw, we went down to the coast to Aberdaron for the ceremony then on to the amazing Portmerion.

My first time shooting a wedding there and as it was perfect weather it was a photographers dream. I could shoot there for days and not run out of locations for beautiful pictures.

Below are just a few of the great images we created for Sian and James.
