I’ve always loved a wedding featuring our armed forces. Melanie and Guy’s Tre Ysgawen Hall RAF spring wedding was no exception. It was a fun, relaxed wedding on Anglesey.
Meeting up with Melanie and her bridesmaids at home, along with a cardboard cutout of Guy, for some of the final bits of hair and make up. Everyone seemed to be very relaxed, well, externally anyway. If anyone was nervous they hid it well.
When Melanie’s father saw her for the first time as a bride it was a truly lovely moment.
Over to the church in Beaumaris for the wedding ceremony. During the signing of the register one of their guests played the guitar and sang beautifully. Now that was a moment!
After the RAF guard of honour from Guy’s sword party and confetti we all headed over to Tre Ysgawen Hall for photos, food and frolics.
A Tre Ysgawen Hall spring wedding is always lovely. The gardens are coming alive, and we have a good chance of some decent weather. Angelsey didn’t disappoint, it was warm and dry all day.
The speeches were a serious highlight, with Guy choking up during his, and his best man letting slip some amazing stories about Guy. Very funny.
One thing you can guarantee about a military wedding is that they know how to have a good time. After Melanie and Guy’s first dance at Tre Ysgawen Hall, the dancefloor was jumping.
All in all, a rather excellent day.
What now then, we love this documentary wedding photography at Tre Ysgawen Hall spring wedding?
As always, at every wedding, there is more to weddings than portraits. As this beautiful wedding proves 🙂
