I think an autumn wedding at Chateau Rhianfa is a real treat, especially when the sun shines and the trees are full of colour. It really made Frya and Tom’s wedding something special.
It wasn’t like that all day though. Starting off in the morning in Llandudno, meeting up with Freya and the girls getting ready at home. The weather was shocking, cold and rainy. Not what we had ordered at all. Everyone was in good spirits, without any sign of nerves.
The boys were getting ready in a hotel, and as always they were on good form too.
The wedding ceremony was in St. Hillary’s church in Llandudno. It’s a lovely little church, and it’s always nice to visit it on a wedding day.
In all the years I have been photographing weddings this was the first time a bride and groom said their vows without any prompting from the vicar. There’s no way I’d be able to do that, so fair play to Freya and Tom!
On the way to Chateau Rhianfa we stopped off in Penmaenmawr for some bride and groom portraits. Luckily the rain had stopped, but the wind was off the scale. Great for some flappy veil shots 🙂
Weirdly, by the time we arrived at Chateau Rhianfa the clouds parted, the wind dropped and the sun shone for the rest of the day. Just perfect!!
I’m going to let the pictures tell the rest of the story for me.
What now then, we love your photography at this autumn Chateau Rhianfa wedding?
As always, at every wedding, there is more to weddings than portraits. As this beautiful wedding proves 🙂
